Will Additonal Padding Level Out A Floor Before Laminate

I d like to also put down a thin underlayment on the wood subfloor.
Will additonal padding level out a floor before laminate. Good to know if you need to cut the door get the approximate layout of the cut and use masking tape on top and bottom of the cut line to reduce splintering as the cut. Prepadded laminate is flooring material that contains the sound dampening and leveling padding already in place on the bottom of the flooring panels. Mix up some of the self leveling compound in a bucket with the drill and paddle until you achieve a thick creamy yet pourable mixture. If a floor plank and underlayment or adhesive will not fit under the door remove the door and trim it with a circular saw about 1 8 inch above the level of the new flooring.
I know this isn t necessary but some of my wood subfloor is a tiny bit uneven and i d feel more comfortable with a thicker underlayment i currently have laminate down with a thick felt silent walk underlayment. The product has a thin underlayment attached. Laminate floors may be glued down or installed as floating systems which lock together using tongue and groove connectors.
